There have been substantial alterations to this building, externally and internally, the refurbishment was carried out with the needs of disabled people very much in mind. The alterations have made all the ground floor main offices on one level, which now incorporates wide corridors leading to public exhibition rooms. The public service counter is now accessed immediately on entry. Concrete ramps have been built externally into both sides of the main entrance to accommodate wheelchairs and immediately to the front of the building there are two disabled parking bays that are clearly defined. The surgery is located in the Lairds Entry approximately 50 yards from the High Street, down the north side of the Eskdale Hotel. After the steps have been negotiated, a right hand turn has to be made in an area of 2ft. x 3ft. to gain entry into the waiting room.
